Tom Binns is one of the most influential names in avant-garde jewellery, renowned for redefining the boundaries between punk rebellion and high fashion. Born in Belfast and emerging in London during the 1980s punk movement, Binns rejected traditional polish in favour of raw, expressive, and deliberately unrefined designs. His work quickly gained recognition, leading to a pivotal collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, in which his jewellery became central to the visual impact of her iconic shows.
His pieces are highly collectible and typically command significant prices; however, this necklace is offered at a considerably lower price due to a few missing crystals (see photographs). This does not detract from the overall beauty or impact of the piece.
