The vintage Morabito Scala bag has just landed. Crafted from the finest Niloticus crocodile leather—considered the most desirable crocodile skin and now reserved for only the most exclusive handbags—this Scala model is often compared to the Kelly by Hermès.
Founded in 1905 in Nice as a jewellery atelier, Morabito quickly became known for its exquisite materials and refined French elegance, serving high-society clients along the French Riviera. In the 1920s–30s, the maison expanded into luxury leather goods, and by the mid-20th century had earned renowned prestige for its exceptional exotic-skin handbags, reaching a level of esteem comparable to Hermès at the time.
Its craftsmanship in exotic leather was considered among the finest in Europe. While the Hermès Kelly achieved global icon status, vintage Morabito bags from this era are now prized by collectors for their rarity and old-world artisanal quality.
Cleaned and polished at their Parisian atelier, it is in excellent vintage condition.
