A fabulous pair of vintage statement earrings by Lawrence Vrba, the celebrated American costume jewellery designer renowned for his exuberant use of colour, oversized stones and richly embellished, theatrical designs.
Vrba has been creating jewellery for more than 50 years and was head designer at Miriam Haskell during the 1970s. His distinctive pieces have also been created for Broadway productions and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as for private clients and specialist boutiques.
These dramatic drop earrings feature vivid green teardrop cabochons at the centre, framed by glossy red cabochons, small faux pearls and clusters of sparkling clear crystals. Bold, colourful and wonderfully decorative, they are instantly recognisable as Lawrence Vrba.
Clip-on fittings and signed VRBA to the reverse.
