A beautifully constructed vintage necklace by Jakob Bengel, composed of interlinked chrome-plated panels with a flexible, architectural form. The clean geometry and subtle asymmetry reflect the machine-age aesthetic that defined Bengel’s Art Deco designs.
Jakob Bengel was a pioneering German jeweller from Idar-Oberstein, celebrated for his innovative use of chrome, brass and early plastics in the 1920s–30s. His work bridged Bauhaus modernism and Art Deco elegance, making him one of the key figures in early modernist jewellery design.
His pieces remain highly collectible for their sculptural forms and architectural precision.
