A spectacular vintage pair of gold clip-on earrings by Grossé has just landed.
Originally founded in 1907 in Germany, Grossé made world class costume jewellery for both the European and American markets. After a series of collaboration with top couture houses such as Chanel and Lanvin, the company received the “Diplôme d’Honneur” at the Paris World’s Fair in 1937, which attracted notable Hollywood clients including Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo. Their reputation led Christian Dior's decision to give them the rights for designing and manufacturing of its costume jewellery collection since the 1950s.
They measure 2.3cm tall and 1.4cm wide and are in good vintage condition.
