Brooch
An elegant vintage brooch by Grosse, known for its high-quality craftsmanship and collaborations with luxury fashion houses. This piece features a fluid, sculptural design composed of layered gold-tone strands that sweep gracefully across the form, creating a sense of movement and lightness.
At the center sits a single luminous pearl, adding a refined focal point and soft contrast to the sleek metallic lines. The combination of organic curves and clean structure reflects a modernist aesthetic typical of mid-to-late 20th century European jewelry design.
The brooch is signed on the reverse and fitted with a secure rollover clasp. Its elongated silhouette makes it ideal for styling on lapels, scarves, or dresses as a subtle yet sophisticated statement.
Originally founded in 1907 in Germany, Grossé made world class costume jewellery for both the European and American markets. After a series of collaboration with top couture houses such as Chanel and Lanvin, the company received the “Diplôme d’Honneur” at the Paris World’s Fair in 1937, which attracted notable Hollywood clients including Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo. Their reputation led Christian Dior's decision to give them the rights for designing and manufacturing of its costume jewellery collection since the 1950s.
They measure 10.3 cm wide and are in great vintage condition.
